Marée, meaning 'tide' in French, reflects the ever-changing, yet enduring, nature of the ocean that has shaped this community.
Our vision is to honor the building's history while shaping what's next for Spring Lake. From kitchen to bar, everything celebrates craftsmanship, connection, and seasonality.

Founded by Jersey Shore locals Marilyn Schlossbach and Bret Morgan , Marée was born from a shared passion for community and craft. Marilyn, a celebrated chef and restaurateur, infuses the space with decades of culinary artistry and a deep commitment to local culture. Bret, an entrepreneur and visionary developer, brings a talent for transforming places into hubs of connection and creativity. Together, they’ve built more than a restaurant—they’ve created a coastal gathering place that embodies warmth, craftsmanship, and the soul of the shore.

Every coastal town has its regulars. The High Tide Community is our dining and wine-locker program, created to give guests who enjoy Marée smoother reservations, early updates, and a bit more connection.
Applications for the High Tide Community dining program are currently paused. We have limited wine-locker spots remaining. If you'd like updates or to join the waitlist, you can do so here.
